New group! New excitement!

Gosh, I love my work! Last week, our summer Burlesque Experience group gathered for the very first time. What a beautiful and diverse group of women! There are twelve women this time around, and all so brave.
It's typical to hear women talk about their fears and insecurities when taking on something as brazen as this. One thing we all agreed on is that the 'monkey chatter' is a good sign- it means we're MOVING forward into new terrain and challenging ourselves in new ways! Imagine if we never had these voices... "What are you DOING? Who do you think you are? What will people think?" That would mean we're playing it a little to safely!
Our group of women is so different- ranging in ages from their twenties to their fifties! Some are married or coupled, some are just coming out of relationships or long time single. Some have always dreamed of being on stage- some are terrified of the idea- but all share one thing in common:
They're here to have FUN and to CHALLENGE themselves- to see what they are made of and to fall deeper in love with their lives and themselves.
And that's exactly what they'll get.
